Symbol Used - Embrace

Hi, and a very warm welcome.
What led me to do this type of artwork.
It all started in my training in becoming a reiki master. I made a commitment to bring about healing to as many people as I can. This mission made me realise that I needed to reach out to more people than just doing hands on hands healing. A number of my reiki clients would remark how peaceful and relaxing my own home was and they too would like the same environment in their home.
Healing comes in many forms, and art has been used for centuries in many cultures to bring about the feelings of calmness and peace. This led me to create artwork with a specific purpose to bring healing and wellbeing to its view and into an environment.
How Reiki Energy is infused into my artwork.
I start each piece of artwork using the same practice as conventional hands-on reiki. I set my environmental and ground myself. Once I'm in a place of feeling peace and a deep connection to the divine, I give a clear and specific intention to give healing, love and abundance energy. I ask for guidance and assistance in the creation of the artwork. With an 'open mind', reiki energy is then poured into everything I do; from preparing the paint, making the symbol, to choosing the size, colour and the symbol itself. It is an extremely pleasant and very enjoyable experience.
The meaning of the Cells and Symbols in my artwork.
I love the element of creating cells in my artwork. To watch the cells form is a wonderful experience and brings to me the blessing that is the gift of life. This is why I call them 'the cells of living life'. The color and flow of each piece is an interpretation of natures and mothers earth energy.
Symbols have been used by man for centuries to give a simple representation as a mark or character to convey meaning, identity, and messages without words. I came across the book Zibu The Power of Angelic Symbology by Debbie Zystra Amstedt. In this book, she talks about a language of the Angels expressed in symbols. She states in her book that; she was asked to share these symbols with mankind. In reading this book I came to understand that these symbols have a very definite purpose, they are to be used and shared with the world, to give divine enlightenment and healing to mankind. I feel a deep connection to these symbols and ancient Celtic symbols, so I use them within my artwork to infuse them with divine energy. They give the artwork a unique element, a purpose and meaning to the viewer. I layer the paint to give demission and depth of colour to the artwork, which flows to create a definite purpose. This purpose is what this viewer has been asking for and if the viewer is accepting, it gives them great service.
If you look closely within the artwork, (use daylight, torch or candlelight) and you will see that there is a inner depth to each piece, it evolves with meaning when studied and with the changing of natural light. You are encouraged to use the artwork in the mediation provided in the Home page.
With love & Blessings,
Mary

Art Lowers anxiety and stress. Just looking at art can be healing.
Art Generates New Solutions. The more you look, the more ideas reveal themselves, whether the art is simple or complex. It takes time and patience to find, examine, and consider the endless options art offers.
Art (Both Making It and Looking at It) Can Have a Role in Therapy. Psychologist Cathy Malchiodi, in her book The Art Therapy Sourcebook, writes that art therapy is “a modality for self-understanding, emotional change, and personal growth.” Art is therapeutic and calming, it helps you calm distracting, negative, and unhelpful thoughts, and that it gets your hands and body working as opposed to only your mind.
Art Helps Us Deal with Difficult Situations. Art enables us to show and express our feelings and emotions.
Art Builds Safe, Meditative, Imaginative Spaces. Creating an environment for relaxation and wellbeing.
